Japanese traditional entertainment "Kabuki" performed in "Kabukiza" is a stage art which has been performed since the 17th century.The meaning of the word "Kabuki" is song (KA), dance (BU) and skill (KI). One could say, it is a musical peculiar to Japan and it's a traditional performing art of Japan.
All Kabuki actors are male so the female roles are played by male actors called "onnnagata". Their make-up and costumes are very stunning.The music, dance and costumes are very beautiful and unique.
